This year's declining cash balance meal plan has caused much uproar amongst students currently living on residence at Trinity College. Not only is it expensive and wasteful, it also feels unjustified, as the money for unused meal-plan dollars is kept by the university.

your experience with the meal plan (i.e. how did you find this system? Would you recommend it for future years? Did you find yourself overspending or underspending?)
explain to other students who might be moving in to Trinity College this January how the new meal plan works
suggest a possible alternative to this system that can work next year, even if COVID persists.
